French Toasted English Muffins
1/2 cup half-and-half or milk
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 BAYS English Muffins, any variety, split
In a large bowl, whisk eggs, half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla until well blended.
Place muffin halves, cut-side down, in egg mixture; allow to soak 1 minute. Turn and dip other sides to moisten. Heat skillet over medium-heat; melt butter.
Cook muffin halves, cut-side down 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Flip; continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes. Serve with syrup and powdered sugar.
Topping Bar: For a fun presentation serve with additional toppings, such as strawberry syrup, cinnamon sugar, fresh fruit, and/or fruit pie fillings.
Serving Suggestion: Add 1 tablespoon orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau) to egg mixture and ½ teaspoon to ½ cup syrup.
